Melissa A. Miller, CBCC-KA is a Fear Free Certified Professional, Certified Canine Behavior Consultant through the CCPDT with with a career spanning shelter leadership, disaster response, and public policy. She has served on state, regional, and federal guidance committees including the FEMA National Advisory Council PAW Working Group.
She has extensive experience with sheltering dogs, cats, pocket pets, and hobby farm livestock species. She is also a member of the National Animal Control Association and Michigan Association of Animal Control Officers with over 15 years in disaster response and a cumulative 10 years as Director of open-admissions municipal animal controls.
